Grey Scale 2013

For the colored blind. It took me a long time to figure out a quilt for my color blind brother-in-law. Then one day as I colored balanced my camera it came to me, grey scale, bargello style. To add interest I put the center of the quilt on point. It became an op-art quilt.

I used a medium grey thread in the grey scale bargello. It gives the effect of a variegated thread as it weaves through the grey bargello pattern.

I created 2 quilts for the Reilly boys. I fussy cut super hero fabric into comic book style layout. Each 24 in square has a different theme of super hero's.

These left over squares from a 2005 quilt where sewn together after the first won was last. Its smaller but has the same fabrics.
